Creating What Our Communities Need—Together

At Aurora Wellness Group, we are more than a counselling clinic—we are community builders, collaborators, and creators. We work across the Yukon and beyond to develop innovative, culturally grounded, and community-led mental wellness projects that reflect the needs of the people we serve.

Below are some of our current and ongoing initiatives:

Fireweed Rising: Youth Leading Wellness

A youth-led wellness program rooted in culture, identity, and mental health advocacy. Delivered in partnership with Indigenous youth mentors, artists, and community leaders.

The Art of Healing Tour

A traveling workshop series bringing together art, storytelling, and therapeutic support to reconnect communities across the Yukon.

Men’s Wellness Circles

In-community gatherings that provide space for men to explore healing, accountability, emotional expression, and connection.

Mobile Mental Health Clinic

We’re exploring the creation of a mobile counselling unit built into a 5th wheel trailer to bring therapy and wellness services directly to rural and remote Yukon communities. This project is still in the early stages, but it reflects our long-term vision for accessible, on-the-land mental health care across the North.

Corporate Mental Wellness Expansion

Developing tailored mental health programs for workplaces, including counselling, workshops, and a Yukon-specific Employee Assistance Program (EAP) currently in development.

We believe that wellness must be woven into community—through relationship, creativity, and care.

Territorial acknowledgement

Aurora Wellness Group’s main office is located in downtown Whitehorse, on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta'an Kwäch'än Council. We greatly acknowledge and respect the peoples and land and are honoured to be able to live and work in this beautiful land.

We also have counsellors and psychologists that travel to communities throughout the Yukon and Northwest Territories. We are honoured to be invited to work and travel on the traditional land of the Dene, Gwich’in, and Inuvialuit people.
