Aurora Presents:
Speed Counselling
Find your fit
Finding a counsellor can feel like a big step. Sometimes, a conversation helps you know where to start.
Looking for counselling for yourself or your child? Meet counsellors with a range of specialties, including child and youth counselling.
Adults and youth ages 10 and older are welcome to attend. Youth may come with or without a parent or guardian. Children under 10 should not attend; their parent or guardian can meet counsellors on their behalf.
These are introductory conversations. Consent requirements for ongoing counselling will be addressed separately before services begin.
EVENT INFORMATION:
Join Aurora Wellness Group for Speed Counselling on Sunday, October 25, with scheduled introductions between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Please register below)
Meet in person at our location in Whitehorse (402 Hawkins Street, Whitehorse) or online by video. Ask our counsellors questions about their approaches and get a sense of who feels like a good fit.
Each introduction is 15 minutes, and you can request as many as you wish, subject to availability. These are introductory conversations rather than counselling sessions, with no pressure to book afterward.
There is a $10 refundable reservation deposit—returned after attendance or applied to your first session. It can be waived if cost is a barrier.
REGISTRATION:
Spots are limited, and advance registration is required. Our team will be in touch to arrange your meetings and confirm your personal schedule—you don't need to attend the whole day.
Please fill out the form below to register:
PRIVACY AT THE EVENT:
Your conversations with counsellors will take place privately and be treated as confidential, subject to the usual limits of confidentiality explained in the consent process.
Because this is a shared event, you may encounter people you know in waiting or common areas. We ask everyone to respect each other's privacy by not sharing who they saw or what they overheard, and by avoiding photos or recordings of other participants. We cannot guarantee confidentiality in shared spaces.
If you have privacy concerns, please contact us so we can discuss arrangements, including attending online.
